Inspired by Ariana Grande’s song “The Boy is Mine”, this project explores two fantasy worlds. In the clouds she is the queen of her kingdom. In the bedroom, she surrenders to her softest desires. Two sides of the same daydream.

2025 Handsketch

Scene 1: The Clouds

We find ourselves in the sky, surrounded by beautifully shaped clouds. On one of these clouds, a floating makeup desk and chair await. Ari sits there, daydreaming, while applying her R.E.M. beauty products.

Ariana exudes regal elegance, wearing:

A neutral‑coloured corset adorned with delicate shapes of her little dogs’ faces embroidered onto the fabric.
A translucent pink skirt that cascades gracefully, longer than her legs. Red fabric roses are sewn at the hem.
A long red cape flowing down to the base of the cloud. As it nears the cloud, it transforms into a pink cotton candy waterfall. A sliver of diamond chain secures the cape at the front, harmonizing with the R.E.M. beauty packaging.
Her hair is styled in an updo — a ponytail shaped like a horizontal half‑moon — reaching her lower waist.
Pointed ballerina shoes with high heels complete her ensemble.

In this scene, Ari prepares herself like the queen she is, ready to claim her desires. Confidence radiates from her, as if the world belongs to her.

Scene 2: The bedroom

Now we shift to a bedroom. Ari moves sensuously atop the sheets, occasionally slipping underneath, playing with the fabric. Her gaze never wavers from the camera—it’s as if the lens represents the boy she desires. She balances shyness with seduction, fully aware of her intentions.

Her attire:

A corset that leaves her breasts exposed, hinting at allure.
A loose top beneath the corset, covering her chest and arms.
Comfortable loose shorts.

These garments evoke medieval undergarments but with a modern, baby-doll twist. Her makeup accentuates her features, casting light on her face.

Finally, we glimpse Ariana in her 2024 self. She wears her usual pajamas, sitting on her bed, penning her diary. The previous scenes were mere fantasies—desires she played out in her mind to win the boy’s heart. Reality sets in, and she returns to her everyday self.
